Classic Mapquest Gas Prices

I imagine that AOL decided to keep the Mapquest classic website available because a lot of people feel more comfortable and are more used to the older version of the site. Apart from driving directions, another very popular and useful feature/tool that the site has is its gas price finder, which you can use in any town, city, or state to find the lowest gas prices near your location.

Mapquest allows users to find gas prices for different types of fuel including gasoline, diesel, and alternative fuels such as biodiesel, CNG, hydrogen, E-85, electric, LNG, and LPG just to mention a few. To access Mapquest's new gas price finder go to gasprices.mapquest.com, however, I know for fact that most people reading this are actually looking for the classic version. If that's the case and you definitely want to use the old calculator then head over to classic.gasprices.mapquest.com.

To find low gas prices near your location simply select fuel type from the dropdown menu, enter an address or intersection, followed by city, state, and zip code, then click on "search" and wait for the results. Map Quest will automatically show you all the gas stations near your location on the map, and you can easily get directions to any of those gas stations by selecting the routing option.

On the classic gas prices site you'll see the lowest and highest gas prices at the top of the page, Map Quest will only show you the highest and lowest local prices, you can swith to the National gas prices view by clicking on "Show National".

The classic gas price calculator is also available at the old site, but I will talk about that on the next post because it's kind of late where I live and I really need to get some sleep. I hope this information was what you were looking for, if you still have doubts or feel confused please drop me a message in the comments area and I'll help you out!
